Decide what happens to your Urmi data when you delete the plugin.

The Advanced section has one setting: whether deleting the Urmi plugin also deletes everything Urmi stored. It is off by default, so you can remove and reinstall the plugin without losing your work.
Go to Urmi → Settings → Advanced.
Remove all data on uninstall

When it is off (the default)
Deleting the plugin removes only the plugin files. Your designs, templates, Design System, settings, form submissions, API keys and activity log stay in the database. If you install Urmi again later, everything is back as it was.
When it is on
Deleting the plugin also deletes:
- all Theme Builder templates: headers, footers, page layouts, popups, saved sections, loop items and mega menus
- the Urmi design of every page and post, and their saved AI versions, notes and autosaves
- the Design System and its history
- all Urmi settings, custom fonts and custom icon sets, and the files Urmi created in your uploads folder
- form submissions
- API keys, connected apps and the AI activity log
Your pages and posts themselves are never deleted. Each keeps the last saved HTML of its content, so the text and images stay readable, but without Urmi's layout and styling. Pages that used an Urmi page template go back to the theme's default template.
This cannot be undone. Export a site kit or make a full backup before you delete the plugin with this setting on.
To use it: turn on Remove all data on uninstall, click Save changes, then deactivate and delete the plugin under Plugins.
Deactivating is always safe
Deactivating Urmi never deletes anything, whatever this setting says. While the plugin is inactive, pages built with Urmi show a plain version of their text and images. The design comes back as soon as you activate Urmi again.
